Ad Men and Women We Love

I'm pretty sure auto makers have tapped into Jack's brain.  Three commercial campaigns - two from Volkswagen and one from Honda - are pure genius.  The Volkswagen Passat ad is absolutely perfect for Jack: a mask, a yellow lab, a baby doll, a startup, and a remote.  There cannot possibly be a car ad that tops this one.  





Dang.  We love that one.  The second VW ad is for the Black Beetle, the newest VW bug. It features another recent favorite, insects, including ones we've read about: beetles, praying mantises, and ants. Drawback: no spiders and no ... actual ... car.





That beetle corners fast.  And finally, the Honda Odyssey 2011 commercial. The flames and fireworks are disconcerting, though, but it gets points for showing the sliding door and the back door opening.





If someone else would like a brilliant car campaign, we have ideas. Open scene: pan the car, showing the door opening. Close-up of the key inserting into the ignition. Sound of the start-up is really muscular. Show a cobra snake or a tarantula. Possibly a police Harley. Or a cat opening its mouth to meow. And definitely a scream mask. I'm not perfectly clear on the details.  But you get my drift.
